Fly to Cappadocia and settle into a cave-style room. At dusk, walk through a quiet valley to understand the region’s geology and settlement history.

Göreme, pottery and optional balloon
Optional sunrise balloon, followed by Göreme’s rock churches, a pottery studio and viewpoints chosen away from the coach circuit.

Underground city and village lunch

WHY THIS ROUTE WORKS
Designed around time, not a checklist.
Two bases are enough for eight days: Istanbul provides layered history and neighbourhood food, while Cappadocia adds geology, village life and walking. An internal flight prevents an overnight transfer from consuming the route.
The balloon is optional and weather-controlled. Scheduling it on the first Cappadocia morning preserves another opportunity without making a flight-dependent activity the only reason to visit.

Entry

Balloon
Licensed operators fly only when aviation authorities permit. A cancelled flight is refunded under the operator’s stated terms, not guaranteed for the next day.
Money
Prices can change quickly. Cards are common, but carry modest Turkish-lira cash for markets, tips and smaller businesses.
Walking
Old-city paving, cave stairs and valley surfaces are uneven. We can replace long walks and review hotel lift access when required.
